Handmade tortillas deserve to be served on a handmade plate. Made from natural clay, the plate retains the rustic charm and earthy tones typical of traditional Mexican pottery. This hand-thrown dish is also the best way to retain heat for as long as possible. *Certified Lead Free
You may notice small dots or marks on either side of some ceramic pieces. These are called stilt marks, and they occur during the kiln firing process when small supports hold the piece so the glaze doesn’t stick to the kiln shelf.
These marks are completely normal in artisan ceramics and do not affect the durability or food safety of the item — they’re simply a natural result of traditional ceramic production.
In fact, these small variations are part of what makes handcrafted ceramics unique.
Size: appx. 8'' diameter. Please note, each plate is made of hand-thrown clay in Mexico, so there will be slight variations in size and shape making each piece unique.
To ensure the longevity of your Mexican Barro Plate, hand wash with mild soap and water. Avoid using in the microwave or dishwasher to preserve the clay's natural beauty.
