Everyone knows that citrus fruit is packed full of vitamin C which is great for the immune system and fighting off colds. Honey is one of the best remedies for a sore throat due to its natural antibacterial properties that allows it to act as a wound healer, immediately offering relief for pain while working to reduce inflammation. Honey can also kill bacteria and help fight off viral infections. The anti-inflammatory gingerols and shaogals in ginger root will help to relieve a sore throat quickly, and they also kill rhinoviruses, which cause colds in the first place. This makes ginger lemon honey tea an excellent choice for soothing symptoms and boosting your immune response.
