Beautiful & Functional Ceramics

Since he was a boy, Rodolfo has been creating Mexican ceramics with the help of his father, who taught him traditional shapes, painting, glazes, and finishes. He studied at the cultural school at El Refugio in Tlaquepaque, renowned for its arts and crafts exhibitions, where his professor told him that while he was very well versed in the traditional method of petatillo with points and lines, he had no idea at all about new techniques with color and ombre. After some serious practice, he’s built a wonderful repertoire blending both traditional and new methods.
Form Meets Function
At Verve Culture, we love to encourage Rodolfo to create functional, decorative art. He makes our gorgeous Hot Chocolate Jug, which uses the age-old technique of polishing the clay with stones to give each piece a rich hue after the second firing. He also makes the traditional Cantaritos cups in our Cantaritos Cocktail Kit. Stay tuned for more from Rodolfo.

I have the hot chocolate jug, cups and whisk. They are not made with lead. They are beautiful, functional pieces and absolutely worth the price!
Are they made with lead? Many clay products in Mexico contain lead
