Thai blacksmiths have centuries of experience making swords, and now they put that skill to use making our Thai Chef’s Knives. Each knife in this trio is hand forged of stainless steel, and cut and sharpened to traditional standards by blacksmith artisans in a small Thai village. You can easily store them in the perfectly fitted bamboo box.

Included in the set is an 8'' chef's knife, a 6'' utility blade, and a 5'' paring knife to handle any ingredient in the kitchen (measurements are blade length).

Meet our Blacksmiths

About 200 years ago, blacksmiths made beautiful, intricate swords for the Thai-Burma war. Today, they make chef knives. A whole community is involved in a different part of the steel forging process! Families form co-operatives and have skilled workers dedicated to forging, grinding, stamping, woodwork, and finishing. Learn more about them here.
