Born and raised in the small village of Ourika, Omar's life story is nothing short of inspiring. Despite the many challenges he faced early on in his life, including the loss of his father at a young age, Omar's determination and passion for learning has helped him become a successful entrepreneur and a translator for a German company alongside owning his own company.
Growing up in a small village at the base of the Atlas Mountains, about 50 km from Marrakech, Omar's childhood was a simple one. His father, who lived a life free from the modern amenities of the world, instilled in Omar a strong work ethic and a desire to succeed. Despite the hardships of living in a rural area, Omar's father had an alert mind and a love for life. He grew his own vegetables, raised his own chickens, and drank fresh milk from his cow. His father never set foot in a hospital, which Omar says was a testament to his strength and resilience.
Omar was the youngest of ten siblings, with two sisters and one brother from his father's union with their mother, who was his father's third wife. Despite his family's struggles, Omar was an excellent student and was particularly skilled in languages. He attended university in Marrakech, where he studied English and French, and it was during this time that his interest in business began to grow.
After university, Omar started working for a small company that sold and exported Moroccan products. It was here that he gained valuable experience and learned the ins and outs of the business world. His proficiency in languages made him a sought-after translator for many companies, which eventually led to a contract with a German company.
With the knowledge and experience gained from his work with the German company, Omar decided to venture out on his own and start his own company. Today, he is an agent for the German company, as well as produces beautiful work through his company for Verve Culture.
Omar's success in business is not the only area of his life where he has achieved great things. He is also a devoted husband to his wife, Samira, and a proud father of three teenagers, two boys and a girl. Despite his busy schedule, Omar always makes time for his family, and they remain his top priority.
Looking back on his life, Omar is grateful for the lessons his father taught him about hard work, determination, and perseverance. He knows that his success would not have been possible without the foundation his father provided for him, and he is determined to pass on those same values to his own children.
Omar's journey from a small village to a successful entrepreneur is a testament to the power of hard work, perseverance, and a strong work ethic. Despite the challenges he faced early on in his life, Omar never lost sight of his goals and remained committed to achieving his dreams. Today, he is an inspiration to many, and his story serves as a reminder that with determination and a willingness to work hard, anything is possible.
